What we offer:

The Central Peace FCSS Board shall grant home support to residents of the Municipal District of Spirit River, the Town of Spirit River and the Village of Rycroft; to those whose ability to manage on their own is limited.  We can assist those who have no family or friends to help them with various home duties.

 

The clients must fall under one of the approved categories listed below:

• Any senior citizen over 55 years.

• Any person with a disability.

• New mothers (short term only).

• Any person recovering from surgery, illness or operation (short term only).

• Any person grieving the death of a loved one (i.e. in the week prior to the funeral and the weeks to follow).

 

The following duties ARE APPROVED under the policies of our helping hands home support program:

• Meal planning and preparation

• Light Snow shoveling or gardening

• Cleaning and organizing refrigerators

• Making beds and changing linens

• Cleaning bathrooms

• Machine washing and ironing

• Other light housekeeping such as dusting, washing floors, vacuuming      

 

Fee per hour is based on a Net Income fee assessment on a sliding fee scale. Home Support worker must be in the home for a minimum of 1 hour per visit and a maximum of 10 hours per month.
